Kindergarten
Kindergarten Information for Parents 2010-2011 School Year
The following is presented as background information to parents with young children who may be attending kindergarten in St. Albert Protestant Schools.
Age Requirement: Five years of age by February 28th, 2011 (birth certificate required as proof of age)
Registration Fee: The Kindergarten fee is payable in early September or as stipulated by each school ($185 for 2009-10).
Start Up! At the beginning of the year, your child will be requested to participate in teacher-determined small group settings. This practice facilitates a gentler introduction to the more formal school setting and promotes greater student-teacher interaction.
Remember, bussing will not be available during this time. (Exact dates will be available at a later date.)
Regular Classes: Regular classes will commence after the small group sessions. The exact start-up date will be available at a later date.
Transportation: Parents should indicate on the kindergarten registration form if transportation is required. Kindergarten transportation is free of charge. Bussing will commence when regular classes begin.
Staff Meetings: Kindergarten children do not attend school on staff meeting days, which fall on the first Wednesday of each month except September.
Wild Rose Kindergarten Open House February 10th, 2010, 7:30 p.m.
Our Wolf Pup Warm- up will be held March 3 from 9:15 to 11:45 am.
School Tours will be April 6th-16th, 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.
